Thirty Years of Working Dogs
We have been preparing service and therapy dogs for more than thirty years. That work is built into advanced obedience, public manners, and private sessions.
A working dog still has to be a dog you can live with. We start with communication (body language, hand signals, verbal cues), then we add the public-access pieces: wheelchairs and walkers, busy floors, other dogs, and staying with you when the world is interesting.
What We Work On
- Off-leash heeling, sit stay, down stay, and a reliable come
- Introduction to medical equipment
- Public outings and settling in new places
- Task foundations, including scent work if that is the job
- Handler skills, because the person is half the team
Most teams come through Advanced Obedience and private sessions. If your dog is nervous or reactive, we often start with a reactive rehab evaluation ($150) so we have a clear and honest picture of the road ahead.
There is no one-size program. Tell us what the dog needs to do, and we will tell you whether we are the right school and what the first six weeks should look like.
